Job Description

Assistant Controller (on-site only) MUST HAVE CPA
Location: Hollywood, FL
Base salary: $110k to $125k plus benefits

The ideal candidate for this Assistant Controller position will oversee the bookkeepers, day daily management of the accounting and the financial reports. He/she will also be working hand in hand with the Management Team and Headquarters to ensure productive financial operations.

Assistant Controller Job Responsibilities:

Overseeing and controlling the activities of the bookkeepers.
Monthly, quarterly and annual closings
Create the monthly, quarterly and annually financial reports by the US GAAP.
Manage and track budget and accounting information including billing, collections, and tax information
Working with external auditors on quarterly and annual audits
Assist in the creation of budget and forecasts
Managing financial controls and accounting procedures

Assistant Controller Requirements and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field; MBA preferred.
CPA Must Have
3+ years' accounting experience
Proven, solid Excel and QuickBooks skills
Results-driven personality, eager to partner with upper management to organize, plan and achieve company financial goals
Hands-on
Microsoft Office and Internet-based applications experience required.
Exceptional time management and ability to problem solve
Strong oral and written communication skills
Previous experience as controller
Previous finance industry experience – an advantage.
