Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Director of Athletic Bands and Director of Bands, the Media Coordinator will assist in the production of all media content for the UNC Charlotte Athletic Bands.
Specific duties include:
- Create/manage content and calendars across multiple digital platforms (social media, website, etc.)
- Complete daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the various media platforms and programs for the UNC Charlotte Athletic Bands
- Assist with the audio and visual recording of all UNC Charlotte Athletic Bands for publication and archival purposes
- Assist in the organizing of promotional events and traditional or digital campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success
- Assist with marketing literature (brochures, press releases, flyers, etc.) to augment the band’s presence in and around the university and the community
- Assist with recruitment database management
- Attend all home football games and various other athletic or band events throughout the year
- Employ marketing analytic techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, etc.)
- Ensure adherence to all relevant university policies and procedures
