Job Description
As part of the GE Aviation Digital Workplace team, the Principal Systems Administration Engineer - M365 role will support the separation of GE Aviation into an independent, investor-grade company by managing and maintaining M365 infrastructure and services, working with a cross matrixed organization; driving reliability.
This is a temporary role that will support the separation of GE Aerospace into an independent, investor-grade company.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintains M365 infrastructure and services: This includes maintaining the M365 environment, ensuring that it is up-to-date and secure, and providing support for end-users.
- Providing technical support regarding M365 services by resolving technical problems within the tenant.
- Working with other IT teams to ensure that M365 services integrate with other systems, potentially including on-premises infrastructure and third-party applications.
- Ensuring M365 services are secure and compliant with industry standards including implementing security best practices, monitoring the M365 environment for security threats
- Creating backup and recovery plans for M365 services, testing those plans, and ensuring that they are up to date.
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including policies, procedures, and training materials, related to the use of M365 services within the Systems Administration Function
- Staying up to date with the latest M365 updates and technologies, attending training sessions and conferences, and collaborating with other M365 professionals to share knowledge and best practices.
- Work in unstructured situations and establish engagement points to drive adoption to new edge technologies and deployments
- Work across functional business teams to gather requirements in current and future states
- Build partnerships with Digital Workplace, Separation, and appropriate DT organizations to rally teams around vision, strategy, analysis, requirements, selection, and lifecycle of GE Aviation's Secure Collaboration product suite.
- Support portfolio-level capabilities and feature sets from a diverse end user stakeholder group across Commercial, Military and Engineering divisions
- integrate plans in accordance with expected timeframes given within DT Roadmaps
- Build progress plans and Report and selection out to Aviation Senior Leadership as well as partnered teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 13 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 15 years of professional experience
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience within M365 tenant services, configurations and support
- Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

Notes:
The salary range for this position is $127,900-$213,200. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive plan.
