This position will report to the Copy Director in the Creative department.

Role Overview:

The Senior Copywriter, Global Merchandising is an exceptional editor with the ability to create navigable, resonant Copy that reinforces brand narratives and increases conversion. Must be globally and culturally aware and attuned to the nuances of market-specific language with an ability to adapt copy for retailers.

Overall Responsibilities:

• Deliver Visual Merchandising and E-Commerce copy for global and international retail partners, like Sephora and Amazon
• Synthesize and adapt high-level brand and product messages for multiple channels, including but not limited to store signs, product descriptions, and digital storefronts
• Collaborate with Copy Director and design partners on campaign launch activations and tiered messaging, balancing brand with creative
• Navigate importance of Merchandising and Copy within Design relative to customer experience
• Develop and/or edit Product Description Page for dot com partners, while preserving Sol de Janeiro benefit claims, scent notes, and product stories
• Support additional brand copy requests from retail partners, including paid social and emails
• Proof artwork with great attention to detail

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Merchandising or similar.
• 6+ years copywriting experience in Visual Merchandising and E-Commerce for a Beauty brand
• Proactive writer, problem solver, detail oriented
• Excellent grammar; ability to self-edit is a plus
• Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
• Bonus experience: style guides and best practices
• Must be comfortable working a hybrid schedule (remote & in our New York City office, when needed).
