Job Description

The Assessment team is the firm's centralized global Assessment function, positioned within the HR Talent Acquisition organization. The Assessments team is comprised of I/O psychologists that bring best practices in talent assessment to the firm. We focus on cutting-edge technology and take a data-driven approach to ensure assessments are valid, fair, engaging, and as efficient as possible.

As an Assessment Vice President in the Assessment team, you will lead the design, development, validation, implementation, and on-going monitoring of talent assessments. By keeping current on the latest trends and technology in the AI/ML and assessment spaces, you will lead the development of protocols and best practices to guide firmwide assessment strategy. You will evaluate tools against all relevant local, regional, and national laws and regulations in partnership with our legal team. You will partner with the rest of the Assessment team, vendors, recruitment, legal, change, learning, engineering, and other cross-functional HR teams to support positive end-user experiences.

Job responsibilities
  • Act as an assessment product owner, leading the design, development, validation, implementation, and on-going evaluation of assessment products/tools (developed in-house or vendor-provided) to ensure alignment with OKRs
  • Conduct and/or lead teams focused on needs assessment and job analysis
  • Evaluate AI/ML and other assessment tools against all relevant local, regional, and national laws and regulations in partnership with our legal team
  • Maintain current knowledge on AI/ML and other assessment technology advancements and use-cases to inform firmwide assessment strategy and product design
  • Partner with UX on research, evaluation and design of new products and processes to ensure positive end-user experiences
  • Partner with legal, workforce analytics, and tech teams on analytic projects (e.g., validation, adverse impact, etc.) resulting in summaries to executive leadership
  • Partner with other product teams, change management and learning on product implementations, trainings, and end-user-readiness

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • PhD degree in industrial organizational psychology or related field
  • Experience working with large, heavily-regulated corporate entities
  • 5+ years of experience with complex selection assessment projects involving job analysis and assessment design, development, validation, adverse impact analyses, implementation, and ongoing monitoring and compliance
  • Advanced knowledge of and experience with assessment tools leveraging AI/ML
  • Expert knowledge of assessment laws/regulations, EEOC UGESP, and OFCCP guidelines
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects through constant change
  • High degree of initiative, self-direction, and ability to work independently as well within a team

  • Understanding of Waterfall and Agile methods
  • Experience in recruiting, operations, or project management
  • Experience with change management and training
  • Experience with vendor management and evaluation
