Diamond Tours, Inc., a National Tour Operator, seeks Destination Managers to meet, greet and manage Motorcoach Tours primarily for groups arriving in Lancaster on multi-day trips.
Group Tour Destination Managers are needed to work with senior citizens and church groups arriving via 55-passenger coaches for one to four consecutive nights, but this is typically a Monday-Friday role. There may also be some incidental phone confirmation work prior to your motorcoach group's arrival, via cell phone.
We anticipate you working approximately 7-8 months per year. The ideal candidate for this role has a wealth of experience and may be partially retired, but looks forward to work on a seasonal full-time basis as needed by the company. We strongly prefer candidates who are actively seeking seasonal work and are interested in working for the company for many years.
If you have the flexibility to work in areas other than the Lancaster region, you will be temporarily relocated to another region in the United States to manage Motorcoach Groups as needs arise; thus, the ability to be away from home for a month or more would be required for employment with Diamond Tours.
The responsibility of the Destination Manager is to ensure the group's trip multi-day goes as planned. You will not ride the coach with the customers, nor will you give a guided tour; you do not need special licensing. You will go through a training period with Diamond Tours before working with customers participating in our tours.
You will be overseeing anywhere from 1 to 10 senior citizen groups per week, depending on the volume of tours in a given week. The ability to be a friendly multi-tasker is required.
The salary for this job is $150 per diem (5 to 6 days per week), and your expenses are paid as well. This includes meals, uniform, dry cleaning, car rental, and gas while working. A $50 per month cell phone stipend is offered during the months you work. If travel from your home destination is required to complete work for Diamond Tours, airfare and lodging will be paid as well.

Ability to be away from home for extended periods of time (a month or longer) during the calendar year will allow more eligibility of work for you if your main assigned tour location has no tours arriving with enough vacancy to transfer you to a different location.
Ability to enjoy heavy multi-tasking, while staying professional.
Valid driver's license, clean driving record and a good "map sense" of direction.
If you are assigned the Lancaster program, you will spend time monitoring groups in Lancaster. We provide a car for you to drive and then meet and greet the groups. This program is typically five days per week and you are paid $150 per day plus expenses.
If there are no groups in Lancaster, there is the possibility that you will transfer to another location for a few weeks until this program has groups arriving in town.
Many of our currently employed Destination Managers have been working for Diamond Tours for 10 years or longer. Once hired, the great majority stay until full retirement.
We offer you a professional work environment and provide affordable group travel for hundreds of thousands of travelers a year.
