Job Description

A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking an Admissions Coordinator for the Mesa, Arizona campus. The Admissions Coordinator will report to the Assistant Director of Admissions. This position assists in the accuracy of the application processes for the Arizona Campus; including applicant correspondence, inquiries, acceptance agreements and status communication. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and self motivation skills are expected. This position will significant time screening applicant files and acts as the primary processor for applications in CampusVue and INow.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate correspondence from admissions to applicants as needed
  • Primary contact for Image Now and AMP for file processing
  • Assist with interview preparation and scheduling interview days
  • File Screening for residential AZ programs
  • Follow up with all new incoming SOMA students to ensure prerequisite requirements for matriculation have been satisfied as needed.
  • Application Processing assistance, incoming email, processing decisions after Prescreening and Admissions Committee which includes status changes and sending letters/packets.
  • Update secondary applications as required in collaboration with Director of Admissions-Processing
  • Update admission’s matrix and prescreening forms as required for PA, DMD, Orthodontics & SOMA, as per the Director
  • Maintain records in AMP
  • Manages the waitlist and offers for certain residential programs
  • Participate in University events as needed (orientation, graduation, white coat, etc.)
  • Regular member of SOMA Admissions committee, note taker
  • Sends admissions offers to SOMA accepts and ASDOH as backup needed
  • Monitor and update website as needed
  • Monitor PSA/Hometown list and update AMP as needed
  • Monitor dual acceptances for SOMA

Experience & Education:

  • Two year college certificate, or equivalent experience in graduate admissions processes and student management system
  • Knowledge of ATSU admissions program
  • Word-processing skills essential and supervision of student volunteers
  • Computer systems expertise
  • Administrative detail/organization skills
  • Written communication skills
  • Sense of humor
  • Supervision of data/statistics
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Work directly with people utilizing all modes of communication
  • Experience working with diverse populations
