I. PURPOSE AND MISSION:
- Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on Gemini operations, buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.
- Responsible for maintaining all equipment and associated hardware (electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical) in a safe and efficient manner with the best possible quality.
II. EXPECTATIONS:
- Position will assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery and equipment at the Gemini facilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot and offer innovative technical solutions to complex problems with production and support equipment throughout the facility.
- Candidate will repair or replace defective equipment parts using the necessary equipment and reassemble equipment when finished.
- Must be able to work with other team members, within Gemini and customer organization to improve quality and process efficiency.
- Clean lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure that the machines continue to operate efficiently and according to manufactures guidelines.
- Inspect, operate and test machinery and equipment in order to diagnose any malfunctions and determine the best and most cost effective way to repair the deviation.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
III. AUTHORITY:
This position has the authority to shut down and/or lock out any operation that would appear to be unsafe or if the machine or equipment is working out of manufactures recommendations/tolerances.
IV. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include but not limited to;
- Adjustment and/or set mechanical controls or components.
- Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
- Diagnose mechanical problems in machinery or equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance procedures on mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts.
- Calibrates and repairs mechanical systems.
- Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
- Maintain or repair industrial or related equipment.
- Observe or listen to machinery or equipment operation to detect malfunctions.
- Coordinate special projects as directed by the Director of Operations.
- Follow established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Guidebook
- Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and
Federal guidelines.
V. QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: At least three years of maintenance experience.
- Skills/Knowledge: i. Be able to produce results with little direct supervision. ii. Possess excellent communication and organizational skills. iii. Be a proactive problem solver. iv. The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. v. Must be self-motivated and goal oriented. vi. Possess a high work ethic, moral and personal integrity and honesty. vii. Be mature, flexible and self-motivated. viii. Exemplify professionalism in personal appearance, manner and dress according to acceptable standards set by the company.
Job Related Working Requirements ix. Must be computer literate. x. Proficient in Microsoft Office related products, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft.
