Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join us in our Investigation and Remediation business area.

Possible locations: Central New Jersey or New York Metro area.

As a successful candidate, you will have well-rounded civil and environmental engineering experience that includes demonstrated design experience in the following areas: groundwater and soil remediation systems, in situ soil and groundwater remediation, storm-water treatment, water treatment, and/or waste-water treatment. You will be able to evaluate project data to develop applicable design criteria, interface with teaming partners and vendors, advise clients on remediation decisions, and develop plans and specifications, where appropriate.

You will manage tasks and projects, oversee and delegate technical tasks, produce high-quality deliverables, and exceed internal and external client expectations. You will be detail-oriented, organized, and timely, with broad experience communicating key concepts orally and in written form to a diverse group of stakeholders including regulators, attorneys, and clients. Quality management and integrity are among your strongest principles.

Responsibilities will include feasibility studies, remedial alternatives analyses, engineering evaluations, cost estimating and evaluation, preparation of plans and specifications, preparation of bid documents and subcontractor procurement, construction oversight, communication of technical information to varied audiences (e.g., clients, staff, regulators, and stakeholders), technical support on litigation or allocation matters, including cost estimating, permitting, project management, proposal development, conference presentations, participation in professional organizations, and numerical modeling.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a B.S. or graduate degree (preferred) in civil or environmental engineering from an accredited institution
  • Hold a PE license in civil or environmental engineering (civil preferred)
  • Have a strong track record in high-quality deliverable preparation, including proposals and technical reports
  • Have experience with the use and integration of ArcGIS, AutoCAD, WaterCAD, and graphics applications to support environmental engineering evaluations and design
  • Have strong quantitative and problem-solving skills
