Job Title : Bilingual Training Developer

Location: Washington, DC (hybrid)

Job Type: Full-time contract, contingent upon contract award

Salary: W2 $58/hr. or $63/hr. on 1099

At Technical Writer Consulting Services (TWCS), our mission is to provide exceptional professionals to support our clients. Today, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Bilingual Training Developer to join our team!

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating written standard operating procedures and correlated CMMS asset management system training videos, with closed captioning, in both English and Spanish. You must also have experience creating and managing
PowerPoint, JPEG, and Adobe PDF formatted files. Candidates MUST supply samples of work developed within the past three (3) years!

This position is in support of a federal government client, so experience supporting federal agencies is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective training materials, including written standard operating procedures, PowerPoint presentations, and training videos, in both English and Spanish.
  • Use instructional design principles to create training materials that are engaging, interactive, and effective.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and develop training solutions to address them.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other stakeholders to ensure that training materials meet the needs of the organization and varied users.
  • Use project management tools to plan and organize training projects and ensure that it is completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain sound relationships with stakeholders, employees, and managers.
  • Create routine status reports and facilitate client meetings to present project status, review deliverables, and discuss challenges.
  • Create and manage Excel, JPEG, and Adobe PDF formatted files.

Requirements:

  • US Citizen or authorized to work in the US for any employer
  • Pass background check to obtain public trust security clearance
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, or a related field
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience creating written standard operating procedures and related training videos
  • Experience developing videos in MP4 format with closed captions
  • Expert in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong project management, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Knowledge of CMMS/Asset Management workflows
  • Ability to create and manage JPEG and Adobe PDF formatted files
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Must provide samples of written and video procedures
  • Experience supporting federal agencies is a plus.

The initial contract period of performance is four (4) months, with the possibility for extension.
