Job Description

Join our Corporate Finance Analytics team where you will have the opportunity to contribute towards providing financial analysis and insights to senior management to support decision-making on high-profile, topical issues.

As a Corporate Finance Analytics - Vice President, you will be an integral member of the Corporate Finance Analytics team and a driving force behind various projects.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing and managing projects as well as overseeing associates/analysts on the detailed analyses and presentations that will be used by senior management in their discussions with the Operating Committee, the Board of Directors, regulators and investors
  • Working independently with other corporate functions, as well as line of business teams

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • 8+ years of experience, with concentration on any of the following:
    • Equity Research, covering large or mid-cap financial institutions
    • Investor Relations at a large or mid-cap financial institution
    • Investment Banking with Financial Institutions Group (FIG) coverage
    • Firmwide financial analysis at a large cap financial institution with ad hoc, strategic focus and/or benchmarking
  • Strong understanding of financial services and banking business - income statement, balance sheet, and how financial performance is impacted by the economy, regulations and industry trends
  • Strong analytical, creative thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong work ethic with ability to multi-task and work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment/ comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues, internal clients and senior management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills

  • Broad understanding of how JPMC operates across its business and its dynamics within the financial services industry
  • Solid understanding of key strategic frameworks/ financial concepts and how they are applied at the firm (e.g., capital allocation, assessment of key business synergies, benchmarking)
  • Ability to develop, synthesize and present perspectives on key strategic/financial issues
  • Critical thinking to challenge current practices and identify new opportunities across business/functional areas
  • Hone presence with senior level management
  • Project management skills/multi-tasking (e.g., balancing workload between short-term and longer-term projects)
