VP of Business Development & Customer Success
In filling this business critical role, the Suyati leadership team is looking for a consummate leader who is energetic, entrepreneurial, and customer oriented with a focus on achieving high growth while collaborating with his/her peers and the talented Suyati team.
The Challenge
Suyati is a software services provider with a team in India and with onsite presence in Canada and the US. Suyati delivers high quality software services and helps its clients get significant business value out of their investments in Salesforce Clouds. In addition, Suyati has a strong engineering team for custom software development on the cloud using Microsoft’s .Net IDE. New emerging practices have been created in DataScience/Analytics/AI, and DevOps that are experiencing double digit growth.
Suyati is looking for a Business Development Leader and Vice President who has helped a mid-size entity or practice in generating NEW sales to the tune of over $5.0million+ per year in software services sales. The leader should be adept in deploying sales methodologies (e.g Sandler) and should lead the organization in rolling out a methodology suitable and customized for Suyati and the software services it offers. The leader should have about 15+ years of experience including 5-10 years in a technical solutioning sales role, preferably in the area of software engineering in .Net, analytics and/or in the implementation of Salesforce clouds. The leader should be very comfortable in holding techno business conversations with CIOs, CTOs and other technology leaders at all levels and build/nurture deep business value relationships with his/her network.
We believe that the ideal way for the leader is to build a team of sales professionals supported by a marketing staff to deliver results. The leader must be adept at leveraging our current CRM to run the sales activities and processes and show weekly, monthly and quarterly pipelines and be able to predict revenue and revenue timing with appropriate probabilities in the sales funnel. The leader shall be a member of the Suyati leadership team and collaborate with peers and other team members across the organization to achieve overall revenue and EBITDA according to the plans while upholding Suyati’s core corporate values of Empathy, Expertise and Dependability. The leader should uphold unquestionable ethics and integrity in every interaction with Suyati’s employees, customers, suppliers and the community.
The Compensation – We recognize that the best sales leaders are hard to find. The salary will be competitive and will consist of a fixed component and a variable component that is based on performance and achievements of both the leader and his/her team. As our relationship grows with the leader, our plan is to build up the sales function significantly and to leverage the Sales “Engine” to support our future moves including possible new practices and acquisitions.

Expert Sales Leader with a proven track record of success in selling technology outsourcing services into the identified industries like Manufacturing, Education, Media, Retail, Financial Services, etc
Work with the leadership to develop a sales plan to support the growth of the company that is aligned with the marketing and branding strategic plans.
Build and enhance the Sales team to successfully collaborate with other business functions.
Expert networker with a strong rolodex of senior IT executives regionally or nationally in the United States.
Develop and participate in selected customer sales presentations, providing analytical perspective on industry, category, and product trends. Vastly superior communication and presentation skills backed by strong and nuanced writing skills in English.
Set appropriate sales quotas for team members and ensure team performance. Demonstrate team performance on a weekly basis through effective use of CRM. Suyati currently uses MS Dynamics for its CRM workflows.
Lead by example and deliver what on promises to Suyati leadership, customers and fellow employees. Mentor his/her team and other cross-functional talent at Suyati. Should be able to spot and develop talent internally and from external sources.
Expert in planning and executing Sales events like CIO Roundtables, Tech Conferences, etc.
A quick thinker who can corelate industry tech usage in one domain with other domain and industry sectors and offer interesting ideas and solutions during client discussions.
Deep understanding of customer priorities and leading team at Suyati to always provide the best responsiveness to customers.
Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets established by Suyati leadership consistently.
Manage the end-to-end sales process for all opportunities including initial client communication, on-site presentations, RFI response, multi-day client workshops, RFP submission, negotiation and deal signing, and be the focal point for all communication and sales activities with prospects and customers.
Provide support to customers during initial phases of an engagement. Follow up and ensure total client satisfaction through the life cycle of the relationship.
Support the team’s market research and competitive positioning analysis in partnership with regional presales, marketing and product development staff.
Adhere to all of Suyati ‘s values and comply with policies, standards and guidelines established and modified from time to time.
Travel regularly to regional prospect and customer locations to support lead generation, sales presentations, contract negotiations, deal closures, engagement implementation, and ongoing relationship building.
