Position Description
The Registration Specialist is responsible for patient visit preparation, patient check-in, performing accurate and complete patient registration, including obtaining and verifying complete demographic and insurance information and eligibility, patient check-out, schedule follow-up, determining estimated patient liabilities and cash collections. This individual is also responsible for ensuring the collection of, IDs and insurance cards, as well as signatures on all required registration forms, which include but are not limited to HIPAA, Advanced Beneficiary Notice (ABN).
Position Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization required and 1 year or more of experience in Customer Service. Customer service, basic computer, and MS Office skills required.
Preferred Requirements
Associates Degree. 2 years or more of experience in registration in a high volume, face-to-face customer service healthcare setting. Medical Terminology.
