Human Resources Project Specialist


Bayer U.S. LLC seeks a Human Resources Project Specialist to work in St. Louis, MO, to support the development and implementation of Human Resources (HR) Operational Excellence program in alignment with Bayer’s global HR and Latin America best practices and strategies. Duties include: (i) interpreting and explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations; (ii) maintaining and updating human resources documents, such as organizational charts, process documents, employee handbooks or directories; (iii) providing expertise in global HR Continuous Improvement initiatives and strategic improvement projects in alignment with Bayer’s global HR practices and standards; (iv) conferring with management to develop or implement HR processes or procedures; (v) analyzing employment-related data and preparing required reports; (vi) advising management on organizing, preparing, or implementing HR programs, as well as HR operational efficiency; (vii) identifying and implementing continuous improvement tools; (vii) assessing risk impacts and change management activities for project implementation; (ix) leading assigned HR projects, including contractor resources and other professional support, in alignment with global best practices; (x) developing strategic alliances with HR Business Partners and business management to support their project needs; (xi) collaborating to develop or implement HR strategies to meet current or anticipated HR needs; (xii) ensuring project team performance with regard to key performance indicators; (xiii) securing and maintaining compliance with applicable quality standards; (xiv) evaluating selection or testing techniques by conducting research or follow-up; (xv) identifying, evaluating, and resolving issues that conflict with project deliverables; (xvi) developing and tracking budgets, operating plans, and financial forecasts to support the objectives of the project; and (xvii) developing, implementing, or conducting new employee orientations.


Must have a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Business, Economics, or a directly related field plus five (5) years of post-baccalaureate and progressively responsible experience in project leadership HR role.


Must also have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) managing mid- to large-sized projects with a focus on details and confidentiality; (ii) MS Office products (Access, Visio, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and SAP; (iii) statistical analysis using Minitab in HR Projects; (iv) contractor and vendor negotiations; (v) using/developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to support change management for projects; (vi) interacting with and support management in various environments with changing business conditions; (vii) HR process design; (viii) developing and implementing Continuous Improvement programs for HR in alignment with Latin America culture and in alignment with Global HR strategy; (ix) leading and driving Lean / Six Sigma projects, focusing on process efficiency work, and driving metrics & KPIs for data-based decisions; (x) usage of the Systematic Inventive Thinking tool in HR projects; and (xi) implementing HR Projects with scrum methodology.


Must also have Green/Black belt certification.


Must be able and willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
