Role

The IT Coordinator will be responsible for installing or upgrading components, setting up software, assisting with network administration, troubleshooting technology systems, and resolving all IT support issues. An in-depth knowledge of various computer hardware and software technologies is required.

The position will report to the Manager of Data Resources and be based at the Reno, NV, Business Office. Travel to various project sites will be required as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Install new software and hardware components.
  • Provide technical support and training for systems and networks.
  • Help assist with creating a new Personal Computer Image.
  • Catalog and manage all hardware rollouts.
  • Regularly evaluate our IT systems to ensure they meet the required demands.
  • Assist with network administration tasks.
  • Ensure data storage is safe and secure by implementing security measures.
  • Offer technical support to company staff, resolving all issues with their computer systems and software.
  • Educate staff about network security and best practices for computer storage.
  • Assist in budgeting for IT expenses.
  • Maintain license and upgrade schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in IT Support role, or related experience.
  • Knowledge of IT systems and applications.
  • Highly effective organizational skills.
  • Very high attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, including speaking, writing, and active listening.
  • Willing to learn new Engineering software installations and requirements.
