Seeking a Commercial Landscaping Purchaser to support our North & Central Texas branches. This will be a direct report position to our Purchasing & Estimating Director. Must be able to perform the following tasks at a minimum:

• Procuring and coordinating the delivery of plant and construction material
• Negotiate the best pricing for product materials and their delivery
• Responsible for issuing and managing purchase orders, coordinating deliveries, processing invoices, and tracking related job costs.
• Interdepartmentally builds relationships and supports the Project Management Team
• Sourcing, negotiating, and pricing current and prospective suppliers
• Assist in preparing submittals for plants and selected hard materials as needed
• Ensure material quality meets or exceeds customer expectations

The following qualifications are preferred:

• Knowledge of plant materials including shrubs, trees, and turf
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
• Ability to build strong relationships with contractors and vendors
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers and vendors
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Background in Horticulture, Turf Management, Greenhouse or Nursery
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook
