Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility

Summary: Guards the Scotty Cameron Gallery before, during and after operating hours against loss prevention, vandalism, fire, unwelcomed visitors, and illegal entry by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a presence during operating hours to surveil the premises and maintain a safe environment for our staff and customers. Patrol, periodically, the Gallery and its surrounding grounds, examining doors and windows to determine that they are secure. Observe customers and personnel to guard against potential theft to ensure workplace security. Investigate and prepare reports as needed. Regulate pedestrian traffic in and around the Gallery to maintain an orderly flow. If Gallery’s occupancy is too full, is responsible for alerting the acting manager and facilitating measures to regulate occupancy until back to an appropriate and safe operating level.
  • Assess and evaluate situations effectively and interact with customers and guide them to the appropriate area or Gallery staff for assistance. May handle janitorial issues as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a high school diploma. Associate degree or some college preferred as well as a California Guard Card.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related security or military experience.
  • Previous experience providing customer service.
  • Previous training and certification to provide first aid and CPR as needed is preferred.
  • Position will require one to be on their feet standing or walking for eight (8) hours in a day or more.
  • Must exude "Courage" - can think and act independently with confidence. Has personal fortitude and integrity when faced with challenges.
  • Must have the ability to be on time, in an impeccably maintained uniform and exhibit exceptional customer service in a Luxury Retail environment.
  • Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors, Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public, Effective oral and written communication skills, Active listening skills, Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively, Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately, Strong attention to detail, Ability to adapt to possible stressful situations.
  • Comfortable with directing people or taking up leadership responsibilities.
